good shape. I plan to continue the strong fiscal management that has been
established and I look forward to serving you as Treasurer

Few people know him as John. Just say Pompie and the world knows who he is. They say laughter is the best
medicine; there is none better than Pompie to provide this dosage. When he
is not entertaining children and grown ups, or playing the part of jolly old
Nick or cooking up some concoction on the spur of the moment he is serving
the Community through the Committee.

I have been your Membership Director since 1986. It started with Denis David
asking me to take over the job. Since I had limited experience with the
computer and databases, I was apprehensive but thought it would be a good
learning opportunity. The rest is history. I have served under many
Presidents and committees and I must say that it has been an enjoyable,
and interesting experience. I have met so many wonderful people and I
strongly encourage our members to get involved. The rewards are intangible
but nevertheless so fulfilling. I am hoping that there will be a surge in
memberships as the committee works very hard to plan events for you.
~ Walter Mendes, Membership Director |
